Trip To Heavenly And Kirkwood

The ski club will be going to South Lake Tahoe to enjoy three days of  skiing at Heavenly and Kirkwood.  Your Epic pass works there.  We will stay at the Mountbleu Resort Casino.  The Casino has many options for eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner for your other meals.
No breakfast is included with your room.

On the evening of March 11 we will go to the restaurant, "Fire and Ice" for a ski club dinner.  We will let you know the time to meet there for those that are interested.

This all-you-can-eat grill lets patrons pick their meal with Latin, Italian & Asian-inspired options.  You pick the food and take it to the grill where the chef cooks it for you.  Then you return to your table with your meal.

Located in: The Shops at Heavenly Village which is next to the gondola.

Montbleu is a short walk from the Heavenly Gondola.  There is parking at the Casino and also in the Harrah's outside parking lot for no cost.   Park as far west as you can in the Harrah's lot to shorten your walk.  From the casino there is a shuttle bus to the gondola.

On March 11 we will meet in the lobby of the Marriott Timber Lodge at 8:45am which is right next to the Gondola and ticket office.  We will break into groups for the day's skiing and pick a meeting place and time for lunch.  We have several members who know Heavenly and will help guide the groups. On the 12 and 13 we will meet at the Timber Lodge again at the same time or you are free to venture out on your own.  

We have a block of rooms at the Montbleu for our ski club members.  To get your discounted room go to montbleuresort.com.  At the top right put in ARRIVAL date, NIGHTS, GUESTS, AND OFFER CODE which is STTDSC9.  You can also call reservations at 1-800-648-3353 and tell them the Offer Code or that you are with the Tahoe Donner Senior Alpine Ski Club.   You can add days before and after the 11 and 12th if you wish.  You can cancel up to 48 hours before your reservation.  You make your own reservations.

These rooms must be booked by February 11, 2019.  Reservations received after the cutoff date will be confirmed on a space availability basis at the prevailing rate available.  The rooms are with one deluxe king or 2 queens.  The cost is $49 per night plus 14% tax and $25 per day facility fee. There is a cost of $20 plus tax for each additional person over 2 for each night up to 4 people maximum per room. 
There are no cooking facilities in the rooms and refrigerators are for the sole purpose of ADA compliance and may not be in your room.
Also remember to sign up on the website so we know who is going.

Skiers can take a day and go over to Kirkwood if they like.  The club will not be leading a formal group over there but will put those interested it touch with one another.  

This should be a great three days of skiing.
