Those without their own equipment rent “combi” boots, striding or skating poles and skis. Snowshoes are also an option. Those with their own striding equipment may want to rent skating equipment. 9:30 am. Non-renters buy trail passes 9:45 am. Everyone meets in the Team Room for a short orientation and to meet our instructor. Invite everyone to come for lunch at 12:30 pm in the café. Determine who does not want a lesson. They leave to go ski or snowshoe. Perhaps in groups. Bob M. available to give advice as to which trails to select.
10:00 am. Those taking the striding lesson meet instructor in meadow. 11:00 amEnd of striding lesson. Lesson participants break for restroom, refreshment and to swap from striding to skating poles and skis. Boots work for both. Those that do not want to try skating take off on the trails. 11:30 am. Skating introduction lesson. We recommend that everyone take the striding lesson first to warm up and get their balance. Skating is not easy but once mastered is addictive. The XC center equipment rental shop will swap from striding to skating and back to striding on request. 12:30 pm. Skating lesson ends. Lunch Potential for more skiing in the afternoon.
